A designer who I appreciated

One of the most famous Spanish artist is Antoni Gaudi.Antoni Gaudi was born in the province of Tarragona in Southern Catalonia,Spain in 1852 and died in 1926 in Barcelona.His family was mainly one of artisans,the artist's parents both came from families of copper smiths.


Antoni Gaudi moved to Barcelona to study architecture in 1868 and he was accepted the Upper Technical School of Architecture in 1873.He graduated as a master architect in 1878.

As an architect,Antoni Gaudi was influenced by many things.He found inspiration for his artworks within medieval books,in Gothic-style art and natural.these condition helped to the development of his own architectural style.As the same time,Antoni Gaudi visited and studied monument.This allows him to get lots of experiences.

Antoni Gaudi was a unique architectural talent.He began to work on the Sagrada Familia in 1884.During this time,his work began to has its own unique style.Antoni Gaudi developed a sensuous,curving,almost surreal design style.

He architectural approach tends to began with organic,and has an artistic collage of thoughts,feelings and moods.His main buildings has Casa Battlo,La Pedrera and so on.

Except architect,Antoni Guadi also is a interior designer.According to a search,I did not found many information about his interior design.One of the most famous interior design of his is Saqurada Familia in Barcelona.I think his artworks are amazing and I believe that this is by far I have seen the most unique buildings even if the buildings are not conform to practice.However,I was got some information by his artworks.such as his ideas,his personality,his wishing....

Why do I say that?

In my personal opinion,through his design,I seem to see his ideas,including his personality and so on.I believe you agree with me that his architecture is different with other designers.Therefore, Antoni Guadi has different life opinion and personality as well.Anyway,I think his design was influence by his ideas.Through artworks,we can understand his design explanation .

A Australian painter-John Olsen

John Olsen was born in Newcastle in 1928 and married with Katharine in 1989.

He studied briefly at the Desiderius Orban Art School and also attended night classes at Julian Ashton's school of Art between 1950-1953.In 1957,he studied printmaking in Pairs later.

From 1956-1960,he lived abroad and journeyed from England to lots of countries.Such as Pairs,Portugal,Spain...During this time,he painted and delivered exhibition back to Sydney and Melbourne.He returned to Sydney in 1960.

He is a great Australian painter,he is also a master water-colorist and acknowledged as Australia's greatest living artist.He was commissioned by the Sir William Dob ell Art Foundation to paint a large mural for the Sydney Opera House.His artworks were strong influenced by Spanish experiences.

He had done plenty of artworks and held exhibition many time,he got lots of awards and prize at the same time.He first major exhibition at Macquarie galleries,Sydney in 1955.

John Olsen has done lots of artworks.The most famous one is Salute To Five Bells which mural painted in the Sydney opera house in 1970.

I never know him before.I saw some of his artworks and grasped some information about him.Probably many people think his art are great however I am not really like him.I am not against that he is a good artist but I do not think his artworks are excellent.

In my opinion,as a artwork should be show some ideas let people understand that people's thinking or social main stream and so on.Anyway,I believe that every artwork should be reflect to something.In his artworks,I could not understand what is he wanted to express.However,I like colour of his artworks.John Olsen did not use multi-color to paint a painting,you can find each painting has difference color,but they do not make you have bad color feeling when you look it.In the painting,he makes color very balanced and main color is very strong.

On the other hand,according to the searched,I have already known what was influenced his artwork or ideas.As a designer have to keep ideas anytime or artist should know how to get ideas and explain it through artwork.Artist need to have large knowledge range.that is difficult but John Olsen done it.I think this is an important element which make him become a famous Australian artist.

A good website...

As a good website must be has excellent web page.I am going to talk about what is a good web page.There are a good web page is BBC,you can check it to comparison of I opinion.website is:http://www.bbc.co.uk/

• Firstly,web page has to reasonable layout.layout is including title,clear categories,headlines and font.Because these element could helps people find information very quickly and easily.
• The second element is colour.colour scheme is very important in how to design a website.If you do not matching colour very well,people will not visit your web page.Such as BBC web page.Red colour is BBC web page main colour for the background and white colour for the written.they just used simple colour to let people feel clear.Therefore,I think too much colour in the same page,people will get uncomfortable feeling,because people might giddy.
• Next,as a web page should has multi-media functions.A web page only has article and image are not enough for people.it should has else.For examplel:Radio...A web page has multi-media functions are equal to people has more choice and it also can make people interested in.
• Fourthly is language selection.language list has many different language,their can helps people easy to understand but I do not think language selection is really important for design a web page.
• I do not think your web page will satisfy the people's requirement.Therefore I recommend a web page need to contains hyperlinks,make sure people can get more and more information.
• Lastly,your web page have to contact details for the information,which are you showing. make sure people understand the information and certain it is available to people.

This is my person opinion for how to design a web page,I hope that it can give you some suggestion.

Graffiti design

It is graffiti design and this two pictures is my favourite.

CHANEL ad

This perfume advertisement were not employing person to as a background,biggish perfume filled the entire billboard and pink is the main tone in CHANEL advertisement.

The most of perfume advertisement are employing to as a background,However,CHANEL did not.It changed advertisement model,brought new vision to people in the perfume advertisement.

Though there are not person on the billboard but through pink colour,we can know that it is apply to women.

warning sign

This is a warning sign on the sidewalk.Yellow and black colour combine to make a circle.It is not particularly,However I think...

Yellow colour is very obvious impact in the visual,whether in the day or night.In this warning board,I can still see the contrastive colors.

Yellow as a background,it could helps people easy to see the warning sign and more clearer,specially at night.

Red service

This is my second image.It is a advert for a place booking air ticket.The design of the billboard is very simple.In the entire billboard only have two colours:red and white.Red background whit white lettering,forming a very strong colour contrast,let people easy to see the name.

On the other hand,red is a warm color.designer used red as the background,I think the designer would like to tell people:their service is very warm and welcome to your booking.
